CALLING ALL SINGERS, DANCERS, ACTORS!

YADA (Youth Academy of Dramatic Arts www.yada.org) is seeking In-Person Instructors for our Children's Musical Theatre programs. Our buildings are filled with joy, laughter, and absolutely perfect chaos. We need you to be passionate about helping them find their voice, their self confidence, and their joy. We want to inspire a child to stand center stage, sing full out, and feel great about it. We are using art to create the future leaders of our world and if that’s something you’re interested in, please keep reading because we want to meet you.

FALL - WINTER - SPRING

Instructors direct full-scale musicals during the School Year as part of an after-school program. Kids arrive after school on weekdays, and all day on weekends. Instructors will be work with kids of various ages, rehearsing once a week for 10-12 weeks, then dress rehearsal week, and show week.

SUMMER

Instructors during the Summer will be co-directing kids of various ages for one-week to two-week camps throughout the summer with full-scale musicals like Legally Blonde, Cats, Willy Wonka, and one-week concert style revues like Swifties, Barbie, and Disco, as well as Improv camps and some one-day masterclasses. Instructors will be taking children through our musical productions with full costumes, hair/makeup, choreography, and sets, while students are singing to musical tracks. YADA has three locations. All new-hire Instructors must have transportation to teach at both locations.

Applicants must have experience which may include performance, directing, choreographing, and teaching—ideally, all of the above.

Employment dates:
If hired, training would start immediately with our current teaching artists in our current session.

School Year:
Positions are available for weekly classes throughout the session. Must be able to teach a minimum of two classes, provide availability for both a weekday and a weekend class, plus attend weekly Monday or Thursday staff meetings, dependent on where your class assignments are.

Covid-19:
100% of the YADA Staff are fully vaccinated and boosted. All new hires must pass a background check and drug test.

Thank you for such a wonderful week at YADA. This was Graham’s first experience with you all, and I can honestly say I’ve never seen him light up the way he has this past week at camp. He had the absolute best time and has already told us that he wants to do as much YADA as he possibly can! I’m signing him up now for Mary Poppins, where he’ll get to experience it alongside a bunch of his friends. I truly feel that, because of your program and the fun, encouraging environment you’ve created, Graham may have found that thing we parents are always hoping our kids will discover—the thing that makes them light up and feel completely themselves. Thank you for creating such a special place for kids to explore, grow, and find their joy. We’re so grateful Graham got to be a part of it, and we’re really looking forward to becoming part of the YADA community!

Thank you so much! We love YADA so much. We found your wonderful program when my daughter was 5, during Covid when there really wasn’t much going on. Since then, both of my children have completely fallen in love with it. They’ve been in almost every play, and now my daughter is turning 10 next month — it’s been such a special part of their childhood.

My kids were in the High School Musical performance last night, and it reminded me again how talented Bethany and David are, especially as a team. I’ve seen so many of their productions over the years — even ones my children weren’t involved in — and they truly know how to put on an incredible show. Their creativity, energy, and hard work really shine through.

Parker is SO HAPPY. Please know from the bottom of my heart… this means that much to us!!!! We love you guys.

We want to express our gratitude for the scholarship for our daughter.  She so enjoyed coming to YADA and fell in love with her role. She showed so much enthusiasm at our place.  Last night’s performance was incredible and so much fun.  It wouldn’t have been possible with your support.  She is extremely eager to continue with MATILDA and she enjoyed making new friends.
