THE STORIES WE TELL:
A YADA Cabaret
Junior Master & Master Performers, this Winter, our most advanced performers have something we've never offered before: two exciting production opportunities designed specifically for the YADA Junior Master and Master community. Whether you're looking for the challenge of a full Broadway-style musical, the artistry of a contemporary cabaret experience, or you want to take on both, it's all about giving you opportunities to grow as performers, storytellers, and artists. PERFORM WITH A LIVE BAND!
PERFORM WITH A LIVE BAND!
The Stories We Tell: A YADA Cabaret is a staged, 12-week musical theater production process that explores the power of storytelling through unforgettable songs from Broadway's most beloved musicals. This winter's production features an all-new selection of material, with songs hand-picked to showcase the voices, strengths, and personalities of this season's ensemble. Together, these songs, characters, and themes will be woven into a cohesive evening of theatrical storytelling.
This is not a simple song revue. Students will participate in a thoughtfully crafted production process featuring challenging vocal work, inventive movement, character development, and professional-quality staging. Every performer will work as part of an ensemble while also developing the skills needed to bring individual stories to life on stage. For the final performances, YADA's downstairs theater will be transformed into an intimate cabaret-style venue, creating a sophisticated atmosphere inspired by classic jazz clubs and contemporary cabaret spaces. Complete with costumes, theatrical lighting, and fully realized musical numbers, The Stories We Tell promises to be a polished and memorable theatrical event. This production will feature a 3-piece live band on stage and three performances.
Designed for our dedicated Junior Master and Master Level performers who are interested in what this production offers: the opportunity to tackle rich material, collaborate with other passionate actors, singers, and dancers, and create a performance that is both entertaining and meaningful. This will follow our standard MJM audition requirements.

Can I Do Both?

How to Enroll
Already auditioned and accepted into the Jr. Master or Master program?
You're all set — simply sign up like you normally do, which puts you in “applied status,” and the office will take it from there. No additional audition required.
New to the Jr. Master / Master program?
These classes are designed for the serious young performer and are open by in-person audition only. We are not accepting virtual audition submissions at this time. If your student has not yet been accepted into the Jr. Master / Master program, please plan to audition before enrolling. In the meantime, we recommend also signing up for a Level 2 or Level 3 Les Misérables class as a backup — if your student is accepted into Jr. Master / Master, our administrative team will adjust their enrollment accordingly.
