Tots: Ages 3-5
Kids begging to come to YADA, but aren’t quite old enough? Then join YADA TOTS! TOTS will learn select songs from the show and have one show at the end of this 8-week course. No casting into specific parts, just lots of singing, dancing and fun! Sorry parents, just TOTS in class!
Pre-Primary: Ages 4-6
This new class is designed for kids who are transitioning from TOTS to Primary. Perfect for little ones who want to be cast in the show, but may need a little more help with reading and performing onstage.
Primary: Ages 6-8
Skills such as counting, music, basic choreography and blocking are all introduced at this level. An interactive and supportive staff gives extra time and attention to each child.
Level 1: Ages 7-9
For students who have graduated from YADA’s Primary or equivalent. Character development, vocal technique and choreography are introduced.
Saturday 9am-12:00pm, 12:15pm-3:15pm
Level 2: Ages 8-10
Students have graduated from YADA’s Level 1 or equivalent. Continuing growth in char-acter development, vocal technique & choreography are complemented by the addition of script analysis.
Level 3: Ages 10 and up
For graduates from YADA’s Level 2 or similar. Level 3 offers a fast paced yet welcoming environment. More advanced skills in character development as well as vocal technique and challenging choreography are all implemented.
Jr. Master: Ages 8 and up
Created for the experienced and serious performer, this class offers a unique professional environment. While maintaining a nurturing atmosphere, teachers encourage students to grow in discipline and ability.
Master: Ages 11 and up
Designed for the serious performer, students are encouraged to strive for professional work ethics. YADA offers a safe yet demanding arena to grow while teaching complex techniques in character work, vocal harmonies and choreography.
The Company: Ages High School and up
Enrollment for this class is by audition only. YADA’s most advanced class is open to teens who are serious performers looking to grow and express themselves artistically. Culminating in all that YADA offers, rehearsals operate in the manner of a professional theatre company. Stage directors, musical directors and choreographers offer the most challenging opportunities to these emerging artists.
Pre-requisite: YADA’s Master Class or equivalent
Improv: Ages 6 and up
Improv is a fun way to develop acting skills through playing theater games. Imagination is all you need to play all kinds of characters in all kinds of situations. Gain confidence, stage presence and become more comfortable with public speaking.
Internships: Ages 12-18
YADA offers Internships for students ages 12-18. Interns assist directors with blocking, music, choreography, warm-ups, costumes, props, sets and ad-ministration. Interns work very closely with the cast members and directors, and are extremely valuable in completing the over-all production. These positions are selected by application only.
