YADA LESSONS:

Lessons are designed to help young learners develop and strengthen their vocal skills, acting technique, and choreography abilities. YADA Teaching Artists provide personalized instruction tailored to each student’s unique needs and experience level, helping students build confidence and grow as performers. Whether your child is looking to practice or review material for a current YADA class, prepare for an audition, or explore voice, movement, or acting for the first time, our private lessons offer a supportive and nurturing environment for growth and development. You do not need to be a current YADA student to book a lesson with one of our Teaching Artists. Join us and unlock your child’s full potential!

LESSON INFO:

Performer coaching sessions are designed to support your child in a variety of ways, including preparing for auditions, catching up on missed rehearsals, building confidence, or focusing on a specific technique.

Available Disciplines:

  • Voice

  • Dance

  • Acting

  • Audition Technique

  • Instruments

  • Self-Tape

Scheduling Options:

  • One-time sessions

  • As-needed (sporadic) sessions

  • Weekly ongoing study

Lesson Lengths & Rates:

  • 30 minutes — $57

  • 45 minutes — $85

  • 60 minutes — $114

  • 60 minutes — $125 per student for Self-Tape, 1-hour minimum required

Shared Lessons:

  • $47 per student per half hour

  • Maximum of two students per session

Payment:

  • A series of lessons may be paid for in advance.

  • You will be invoiced after scheduling, and payment is made online through your parent portal.

Cancellations:

  • All cancellations must be submitted in writing to yadakids@yada.org at least 24 hours in advance.

  • Lessons canceled within 24 hours will be billed in full.

  • Exceptions due to student illness are at the discretion of YADA.

Scheduling Process:

  • Lessons must be scheduled by completing the lesson request form found in the student’s profile within your parent portal.

  • Lessons will occur at the scheduled time. Time lost due to tardiness will not be made up.

Additional Policies:

  • Any lost materials provided by YADA must be replaced at the student’s expense.

  • Students may bring a tape recorder or camcorder to record their lesson if they wish.

INTRODUCING Self-Tape Sessions!

We’re excited to share more ways to support your young performer’s growth, and introduce one of our newest offerings designed for today’s audition world: 

New! Self-Tape Sessions

Got a last-minute audition request? Have you tried to help your child do self-tapes, and you just don’t think it’s your wheelhouse, and need help? Does your child not take notes very well when they come from you? (This is very common!) All of these are great reasons to book a Self-Tape Session with a YADA Coach! We’ve got you covered.

Our 1-hour Self-Tape Sessions provide a professional, supportive environment to help your child create their best possible audition.

Here’s how it works:

  • Students arrive fully memorized (this is the part you help them with) 
  • Parents provide the audition sides, directions, and the device they want to record with. (typically a phone)
  • YADA sets the stage with an appropriate backdrop and professional ring-light setup.
  • A YADA Coach works with your child to develop strong character choices, explore variety, and bring their performance to life.
  • We record a polished, high-quality self-tape ready for submission.

Rate: $125 per student (1-hour minimum)
