LET’S GO CRAZY THIS WINTER BREAK AT YADA:
SING with A LIVE BAND during your Winter Break! This ever popular show features songs from the hit movies “Sing” and “Sing 2”! There’s nothin’ holdin’ us back and we’re still standing even under pressure! So, shake it off, say a little prayer, and don’t you worry ‘bout a thing as we have the time of our lives this Winter with Sing! Ages 6-16 will sing with a live band. TOTS (ages 3-5) and Pre-Primary (ages 4-7) will sing to tracks! Two camps to choose from: December 18-22, 2023 or January 2-5, 2024.
YADA ROCKS IN A DAY!
Join us for a magical one-day camp where your child becomes a star in their own Broadway adventure! From the enchanting world of Wicked to the frosty wonderland of Frozen, pick which adventure you want and your kids will sing, dance, and act their way through a whirlwind day of creativity. With expert guidance from YADA directors, they'll put on a show that'll leave you spellbound. Don't miss the grand finale at the end of the day when they perform for their proud family and friends - a day of musical fun they'll never forget!

ONE-DAY MASTERCLASSES in Voice or Dance, you choose!
Taught by YADA’s gifted staff - these workshops are designed to hone your skills and build your confidence in specific areas of discipline. Dance, Voice, Audition Technique, Acting, Scene Study, Scenic Design and more - find you your focus with YADA! Winter camps are held at YADA 3rd St. or YADA Studio City. Ages: 7-11 and 11+.
VOCAL MASTERCLASS: A 1-day two-hour masterclass focusing on vocal performance, retention, and musicality. In this class, students will all learn the same 30-second vocal cut of an appropriate musical theatre song. The first half of the class focuses on pitch accuracy, vocal rhythm, and proper vocal technique. Students will also explore acting beats within the music and how to properly convey them through song. The second half of the class focuses on being an individual on stage and performing the song with confidence. Students will be encouraged to put the skills they have learned in hour one into their performance to produce a strong product.
DANCE MASTERCLASS: A 1-day, two-hour dance masterclass designed to improve a dancer’s retention and stage presence. Students will learn a one-minute beginner-level dance combination with basic moves they may encounter in a dance call. Students will be encouraged to dance with full expression and individuality. Students will participate in a mock dance call to learn retention and performance skills at a quickened pace.

Teaching Artist: Alexandria Ireijo (Alex) is an actor, singer, dancer, and artistic professional originally from Oahu, Hawaii. She has a BFA in Musical Theatre from Nazareth College in Rochester, New York and has worked with some of the best Musical Theatre professionals: Bob Cline, Bob Moss, Brett Smock, and Jeff Whiting. Her favorite theaters to perform at include The Rev. (formally FMTF) and Manoa Valley Theatre. Apart from theatre, Ireijo has worked in theatre education with youth ages 3 years old to 18 years old. She has experience teaching acting, dance, and vocal coaching in both private and class settings as well as directing and choreographing full length musicals to youth ages 6-18. Ireijo believes that theatre provides a safe outlet for expression, exploration, and best of all, fun! She strives to nurture her students and coach them to their fullest potentials.

Spend part of your winter break thinking on your feet and learning improv basics that will culminate in your very own improv show for family and friends. Improv Winter Camp is sure to be silly and definitely FUN! Your child will develop their emotional intelligence, creativity, confidence, critical thinking, collaboration, and communication skills—all in a fun, supportive environment of ensemble-based games that are the foundation of improvisational theater.
Improv Winter camps are held at YADA 3rd St., YADA Studio City and YADA Playa Vista. Ages: 6-7, 8-10 and 11+.
