COVID-19 TEST REQUIREMENTS:

TESTING POLICY

As part of our efforts to mitigate COVID-19 virus transmission on campus, COVID-19 PCR tests will be administered to all employees and offered to all students on a weekly basis to start the session (testing frequency may change depending upon local conditions). Testing is provided free to all families and employees (you will only need to provide insurance information, which will then be covered for your insurance through the CARES Act, and will not be attributed to your account). All individuals rehearsing or working on campus must consent to participate in weekly testing.

  • Beginning 2/14/22 Our weekly testing requirement will now include PCR testing within one week of your YADA class.
  • Students, staff, family members & audience members are encouraged to use YADA's testing service.
  • Testing days/times are subject to change.
  • Students Ages 5 & up that are fully vaccinated will still need to show proof of a negative Covid-19 test.
  • Click here for more information and to sign up for YADA's weekly testing times.
  • **NOTE: Everyone will need sign up at least 24 hours in advance. YADA will share an RSVP form each week for sign-up. No one will be permitted to test at YADA without a completed survey found here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/yadacamp (This survey must be completed one time per testing individual, not each time you test).

Types of proof:

  • The test must be a PCR test performed at a lab, not at home.
  • If your school offers weekly testing within one week of your YADA class, we will accept those results.
  • If your school offers antigen testing within one week of your YADA class, we will accept that PLUS a rapid test taken within 24 hours of your YADA class.
  • Test taken through YADA PCR testing service.
  • Doctors office test (cannot be Rapid)
  • We understand that having had a Covid-19 positive result means that you may continue to test positive for up to 90 days. In that case, if you are past your isolation period with no symptoms, you may attend YADA with a signed doctor’s note explaining the date of your Covid diagnosis and the reason for a continued positive test result.

How to show proof of negative COVID-19 TEST:

    • Each week, when checking your child in on Brightwheel, you will need to check a box stating that their test was negative.
    • You will also need to show your negative COVID-19 test result to your teachers at drop off.
    • This does not pertain to audience members. Please see above for audience requirements.

in person costumes

WILL KIDS BE SHARING COSTUMES? WHAT ABOUT WIGS, MAKEUP AND MICS?

  • YADA will be providing costumes.
  • YADA will not be applying make-up or doing wigs/hair Winter session 2022. For the Spring and Summer 2022 sessions, YADA will look at the current CDC guidelines to see if we will be applying make-up and doing the kid's hair/wigs.
  • For Winter 2022: Hair/wigs and makeup must be applied prior to arrival for the dress rehearsal and show.
  • The actors will be wearing mics on their show day.
  • Show Clothes must be worn under costumes on both dress rehearsal AND show days. Show Clothes consist of a flesh toned tank top and bike shorts.  ALL actors will arrive to YADA with show clothes under their costumes regardless if they change costumes or not. This is so a YADA Team member can easily put on the actor's body microphone and also for costume changes. See graphics below for various types of show clothes.

_in person self care (1)

HOW CAN WE BE SURE THE OTHER STUDENTS AND STAFF ARE HEALTHY AND FOLLOWING PROTOCOLS ON THEIR OWN?

  • Theatre is all about community. It is all about trust. We cannot put on a show without trusting our fellow performers to do their part and to take care of us as well. The same is true for this time in our lives. It is more important than ever to do our own part to take care of ourselves and our families in order to take care of each other.
  • All YADA staff members are following the CDC and PHD guidelines for COVID-19 testing.
